Angelfish 2.0: Taking TrueNAS SCALE to New Heights
After being tested by over 20,000 users in just four short months, TrueNAS SCALE’s latest update, Angelfish 2.0, brings high availability to TrueNAS M-Series systems for scale-out storage, VM, and container workloads. With this new feature, even if a storage controller fails or is taken for maintenance, the other controller ensures reliable and uninterrupted service. Along with this, TrueNAS SCALE offers file sharing options of SMB, Gluster, and NFS, iSCSI block storage, and S3 Object API integration. And with the new addition of SMB clustering, clients can access the cluster from any SMB node, giving them access to terabits of bandwidth and hundreds of petabytes of capacity.
TrueCommand 2.2: Making Cluster Management a Breeze
In line with the latest update, TrueCommand 2.2 is now available for testing ahead of its planned release in mid-July of 2022. This software can be installed either on-premises or in the cloud and is designed to manage fleets of TrueNAS Open Source and Enterprise systems. With the enhanced use of TrueNAS SCALE APIs and clustered SMB, TrueCommand 2.2 comes equipped with wizards to make creating SMB clusters a breeze. Enhancements also include a reworked statistics engine for improved performance, simplified certificate handling, and improved middleware for better error handling and testing.
