– KMIP Support for interfacing with KMIP servers for storing and retrieving passwords and encryption keys.
– Performance Improvements in areas like SMB, iSCSI, and ZFS.
– API Keys for remote access, with support for TrueNAS API v2.0.
– Fusion Pools, which use all-flash vdevs to store metadata and small-block IO, providing flash-like performance at the cost of spinning disk.
– VPN Support, allowing TrueNAS to act as both an OpenVPN Server and Client.
In addition to these exciting new features, iXsystems has also made numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to the user interface and APIs. The company has also revamped its documentation to focus on simplifying and expediting the use of TrueNAS in various storage environments.
